We check

Baking on track again

Lewisville cooks after an oven visit.

Thanksgiving was four days out and the oven wouldn't go past 250. He came the next morning, replaced what was bad and confirmed the temperature with a probe before packing up.

Locked door after self-clean, fixed in one trip. Polite guy, fair price.

Honestly I'd been compensating for a lopsided oven for a year, rotating every pan halfway through. Wish I'd called sooner.

Check these first

A seemingly broken oven is occasionally just a settings issue. Start here.

  • Clock after outagesAfter a power blip, plenty of models stay cold until you enter the time and pick a mode.
  • Control lockUnresponsive keys usually mean the panel lock is on; press and hold its button to release it.
  • Element conditionOnce everything is cool, check the bottom heating coil for cracks, blisters or bright spots.
  • Thermometer testSet 350°F and wait twenty minutes. A hanging oven thermometer should read close to the display.

Leave these to us

  • Igniters and gas valves
  • Bake and broil elements
  • Lock motors and electronic controls

Each of these repairs comes with a 90-day warranty on parts and labor.
